As our name suggests, ConnecTra is a connecting agency. We connect people with disabilities to activities and programs that will, over time, allow them to gain confidence and become more active and involved in community life.

We connect people in three ways: with our Employment Mentorship Support Project, by hosting bi-monthly meetings and workshops, and through the provision of an online disability services resource guide. Our meetings are regular get-togethers – very social and very informal. We gather three or four presenters from key agencies, service providers, or organizations with useful information to share. It’s networking. . . and entertaining!

Join us at our next meeting

Our next community get-together is held at the Roundhouse on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018.

Come along between 2pm and 4pm to meet service providers, interesting individuals and useful organizations. You will meet Stopgap Foundation, which is creating ramps for stores and public spaces; BC Wheelchair Floorball Association; Mark Stockbrocks, talking about his Access Stickers project; and Vancouver Adapted Music Society.

It's a relaxed, social afternoon with socializing and snacks - a real community event.
