Building a Stronger Future: The BC Brain Injury Association’s Role in Advocacy, Support, and Community Impact

Join the British Columbia Brain Injury Association on March 31st to learn how to support yourself and others with acquired brain injuries! This presentation explores the vital work of the BC Brain Injury Association (BCBIA) and will provide an overview of BCBIA’s mission, key initiatives, and the resources available to individuals and families affected by brain injury across British Columbia. They will share advocacy efforts, partnerships, and how BCBIA supports community programs, service providers, and policy development. Whether you are a survivor, caregiver, professional, or advocate, this presentation provides insights into the role of BCBIA in shaping a more inclusive and supportive future for those impacted by brain injury.
Janelle Breese Biagioni is the Executive Director of the BC Brain Injury Association (BCBIA), founder & CEO of the CGB Centre for Traumatic Life Losses and a leading advocate for brain injury awareness and support in Canada. With over 30 years of experience, she has dedicated her career to advancing education, prevention, and services for individuals and families affected by brain injury, grief, and traumatic loss. She serves as the community lead for the BC Consensus on Brain Injury, Mental Health, and Addiction and the movement for a National Strategy on Brain Injury Act. Janelle is a published author of both adult and children’s books, a national speaker, a clinical counsellor, and a life coach.

Anyone found to have committed conduct prohibited by the societies is subject to disciplinary actions as deemed fit by the Executive Director, up to and including removal from the programs.
