Planning Your Future with Plan Institute

September 12 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm PDT

Four people (two sitting, two standing) gather around a table with sticky notes all over it.

Learn more about how to plan for your future as a person living with a disability. Join Liss Cairns on September 12th from 12-1 pm PT to hear all about Plan Institute and the free services and support they offer for people with disabilities and their families. This presentation will also provide a brief overview of some important disability and financial planning tools, including the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) and Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP).

Liss started with Plan Institute as a Project Intern in 2017 and was delighted to be brought back on in a permanent position in the summer of 2018. They graduated from Simon Fraser University in June 2019 with a BA in Criminology and Psychology. Liss has many personal ties to disability and a passion for supporting prevention and education initiatives. They want everyone to experience living life without barriers as their most authentic, respected, and valued selves. Liss enjoys finding ways to keep learning, helping people from all backgrounds, and advocating for people’s rights.

Please note that this live Zoom event will be recorded and streamed to Facebook and YouTube, where it will remain available for our community to enjoy after the session has ended. Closed captioning for this event will be available on these platforms.
