Supporting Independent Autistic Adults with Square Peg Society

October 3 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm PDT

Group of individuals standing in a circle with one hand each extended towards the center of the circle.

Do you want to learn more about the resources available to support autistic adults who want to live independently? Join Joette Heuft on October 3rd from 12-1 pm PT to hear all about Square Peg Society and the resources they provide for autistic adults.

Joette was a co-founder of Square Peg Society, and has served as the Executive Director since its inception. The parent of an autistic son, Joette was appalled by the lack of appropriate services & supports for autistic children, but this deficit is particularly acute for autistic adults, after they have “aged out” of Ministry of Children & Family Development Autism Intervention funding & services. Though her educational background in architecture & garden design did not point her down this road, her life path did, and Joette is passionately committed to ensuring that the lives of the current and next generation of autistic adults is rich with opportunities in education, employment and social engagement, in short – that all barriers to independent and purposeful living are erased.

Please note that this live Zoom event will be recorded and streamed to Facebook and YouTube, where it will remain available for our community to enjoy after the session has ended. Closed captioning for this event will be available on these platforms.
