ABC Studio: Art Therapy with ConnecTra
July 4, 2023 @ 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm PT
Express yourself in a new way with our online art therapy studio. Join us on July 4th, 2023, to spend time with peers and student art therapists, plus connect and share through art making!
Janessa is a Master’s art therapy and counselling student at Adler University. She has experience working with children and youth, older adults with dementia, and individuals with acquired brain injuries. Janessa has lived experience as a Queer woman with anxiety, grief, and chronic illness.
James Kim is a Queer Asian man pursuing a Master’s of Counselling Psychology: Art Therapy at Adler University. He has experience working with children, adults, and older adults, as well as those struggling with substance use.

The Disability Foundation and affiliated societies' locations, programs, and events are inclusive and welcoming environments. Participation in any of the aforementioned organizations is subject to the observance of the Disability Foundation and affiliated societies' rules and procedures. Staff, volunteers, and clients are part of a team and expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner. This means that physical harm, verbal or written abuse, harassment of any kind, and any bullying behaviour will not be tolerated. Anyone found to have committed conduct prohibited by the societies is subject to disciplinary actions as deemed fit by the Executive Director, up to and including removal from the programs.
