Power for All: Adventure Therapy Society

Join Alex Thompson from Adventure Therapy Society on July 22nd, 12 – 1 PM PT, for a presentation introducing Power for All’s programs.

These programs include kayaking, paddle boarding, snowshoeing, and more. Power for All is committed to providing a variety of programs for all ages and abilities.

Alex Thompson is the executive director and founder of Power For All. With the help of amazing mentors and partners, Alex’s vision of bringing adventure access and innovative therapy to all abilities materialized with the creation of PFA. With a background in education, outdoor recreation, adventure therapy, and occupational therapy, Alex shares her passion and knowledge of the outdoors with clients of all ages and abilities through her work with PFA.

The Disability Foundation and affiliated societies' locations, programs, and events are inclusive and welcoming environments. Participation in any of the aforementioned organizations is subject to the observance of the Disability Foundation and affiliated societies' rules and procedures. Staff, volunteers, and clients are part of a team and expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner. This means that physical harm, verbal or written abuse, harassment of any kind, and any bullying behaviour will not be tolerated. Anyone found to have committed conduct prohibited by the societies is subject to disciplinary actions as deemed fit by the Executive Director, up to and including removal from the programs.
