Join us on Monday, November 4th from 12-1 PT for a presentation about the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program, and learn more about how they provide supports and opportunities to become physically active and focus on abilities rather than disabilities!

Whistler Adaptive is committed to introducing individuals with a disability to sport and therapeutic recreation through tailored year-round programming in Whistler, Squamish and Pemberton. Whistler Adaptive supports sport for life by breaking down the financial, physical and social barriers as well as creating skills that will lead to future employment within sport and beyond.

Originally from the UK, Sian moved to Vancouver 25 years ago having started her working life as a neurological/neurosurgical nurse and later applying these skills to work with a UK adaptive sports charity. In 1998, upon visiting Whistler and seeing the potential for a year-round adaptive sports program, Sian presented a proposal to Whistler Blackcomb Resort for the creation of Whistler Adaptive Sports Program and soon brought on WAS’ first employee. After more than 20 years, Sian is excited to return to WAS to continue to promote adaptive sport experiences in the Sea to Sky.

Please note that this live event will be recorded and streamed to Facebook and YouTube, where it will remain available for our community to enjoy after the session has ended. Closed captioning for this event will be available on these platforms.
